Aye, I know that the idea of writing a book and all has been brought up before, but the idea hasn't really seemed to get off the ground yet (correct me if I'm wrong). Well, it's a project I'd really like to see moving so I'm volunteering to coordinate the effort. I'll even do the compilation of the book and all. Or if the book isn't possible, the wikibook could push through. Either way, I think that the idea of making the book is a great idea. So, any other volunteers?

Ok, I'll start working on the layout. What part would you be willing to work on?

I'll volunteer for what I can, though I'm not sure what I can do...
I've been doing a lot of abstract painting lately, extremely abstract. No brush, no paint, no canvas. I just think about it. |

Well, we'll need weave tutorials and stuff. I was thinking that you and Slash could write a few articles for the Weaves section. Maxum X offered to take care of the rendering, so that's a plus point.
Hmm.... We need some place to gather, a chatroom or something.

My tutorial-writing is at your service, if you wish to employ it.
(that and anything else you can think of that I could do for this project)

I could help with the work space, making rings, some of the weaves or any other tidbits. It might be a good idea if we put some more things about small projects and say START SMALL, I wish I would have known that. and tell them to work up to a shirt something like this bracelet/necklace, bag, glove, coif, shirt. It will help build speed and quality before a big poject and a suggestion of ID and Wire gauge so they do not end up with a shirt with an ID of 1/4 inch as there first project.
Please, if you want my help post what you want me to do. |

Something about the workspace would be a good start. I'm not too familiar with the publishing process, I'll have to look into that.

1. On the topic of Safety, do we want to add-in stretches and the likes to prevent Carpal Tunnel and such, since it is a legitiment threat for the maillers that go a little overboard? (Also if we do want stretches, do we want pictures or just descriptions? Pictures take up alot of room, but just reading a description of stretches can be a little confusing.)
2. I'm not sure if this will make sense or not, but what style of writing should it be in? Something that reads like an encyclopedia, or just a list of precautions, or perhaps something like a personal rant; I think the encyclopedia format might be the best, though I might have to edit myself from going on a rant.
Oh and most importantly, is it okay if I attempt to do the Safety topic?

Sure thing. And aye, let's go for an encyclopedia type of writing, more formal and scholarly. I can do editting and stuff if you like.
Hmm... stretches... maybe we could make another section devoted to stretches?
