Can we update the Alpha Project page, it's sadly out of date. Perhaps fix the thumbnail of Thexnihil's patch, and add a pic of sakredchao's patch..

It's funny, I made the original border, the pic for which appears on said page, but haven't produced a patch yet. Someday though.

Kim, what's our count of patches up to, is it still at two?

Tell a mailler what ring sizes to use and they'll weave for a day. Teach them AR and they'll weave forever.

What's the other one?
I am going to make a patch and send it to sakredchao (*sews the fabric pliers onto his shoulder*). I just need to find some way to mix an inlay and PT6-1 together...

yes, we're still around. there hasn't been a lot of participation yet, but i think the more people we get contributing, the more people who will be interested.

the use of beads and stones is fine, so long as it's maille, and not, say, beads and stones glued together, or sewn together with a beading stitch.

i've only been mailing for a year and so i made a plain simple nothing patch and i used the correct guage and id size and came up with something closer to a 7x7 not an 8x8... what gives...?

probably the springback is to blame, go ahead and send it. i have experience connecting different weaves together, and i'm sure a little bit of differing ID won't be a problem. as long as ringcounts are right, we're all set.

i'll probably measure the ID of the border rings and organize them based on that number.

if folks let me know when the patch is in the mail i'll keep an eye out for it. i don't exactly make it out to check every day... or every week.

thanks for all the participation!

i got the same thing.

the only wire i have enough of right now is 18ga copper. is there a way to make this work with. i have just a bit of steel that i can make the final outside ring border with but all the rest would have to be from copper. i can make it strong enough to hold it own weight but i might be a little off on the measurements.
