Hey everybody! I'm reading The Da Vinci Code and well i think most of it has some truth. Such as I now believe that Mary was Jesus' wife and was meant to carry on the curchs belifes. I also think she is the holy grail and the blood line is still around. Anywho any one want to discuss this please comment!

Okay what you gathered was way off! I don't mean to tell you what to think but the "cult" is only a part of the book. The book is not about a cult!

I've gone just a tiny bit into it....stuff like Leonardo's paintings, military symbols, and some other stuff, but not much. I think I may have the book lying around here somewhere. If not, I'll go find it and read it.

I would dearly love to have a discussion. Even if it all turns out to be [insert word] it still makes for some good talkin'.

Peace.

Yes, it says in the front of the book that everything other than the events are attempted to be as true as possible. Opus Dei is real, as well as the Priory of Sion.

The book also explains how Christianity totally raped the beliefs of other religions to turn everything they worshipped into some form of satan, eg. the pentacle.

It was a good book, although I groaned at the character that just has to be in every single Dan Brown Novel...the beautiful but intelligent love interest Mad Yarg, it gets so old!
I thought the Da Vinci Code was a good book, in fact I got a book about it : Cracking the Da Vinci Code. It has hundreds of essays, interviews, and debates on the facts and hypothesises presented in the Da Vinci Code. I recommend that you all read it before commiting to one view point or another.
