Hey all
First time here. I'm thinking of starting a byrnie in 12 gauge 5/16" aluminum rings. I'm wondering what this weave looks like up close. There used to be a webpage somewhere that had all these closeups of 4 in 1 with different ID and wire thicknesses, but I can't find it.
Thanks in advance,
~Wil |

It'll be realllllly tight.
Actaully, it's the tightest combination (in 1/16" parts) you can get.
It'll be at tight as 16 guage 3/16" ID, or 18 guage 1/8" ID.. etc..

holy moley bative same as 3/16 16 ga i do that for finger rings and they keep shape pretty ok that is way too tight i would go with 16ga alum or 14 ga. itll look nice in those two but you shooting your self in the foot if you use that tight of an AR
but you can go for it but in your in for a hard year if not years if you procrastinate (like me)

...you're not going to be able to move too well, if it's the same as 16 guage 3/16''. ....maybe you'll want to leave out the armpits. |

It's in spanish, but I think you would understand it, I can't take the picture out of it, but here is the link. I'm talking of the first pic.

I made my first coif out of 12ga 5/16" ID aluminum. There's a pic of me in it in the gallery. As far as looks go, it's similar to 14ga 1/4" ID. If that AR was flexible enough to make a coif, it should definitely be flexible to enough to make a byrnie.
I say give it a shot. It should be quite nice.
