I am trying to link off-site images (google photos) into forum threads for discussion. Having difficulties, cannot get it to work. I read and tried to follow the BBC syntax for images, but I am still unsuccessful.

Any advice what I am doing wrong? Confused

Google has added "?" into their permalink images url in January.

That "?" doesn't talk nicely with BBC. I made my detailed post here.

The exact location of the images still includes a "?" in the url, which still breaks the BBC. Finding the exact location is getting less friendly (already a maze).
The same goes for google drive, unfortunately.

I'd recommend if it is necessary to post, use a different service. imgur.com is a good "no need to create an account" alternative.
