this one is pretty straight forward, the order of operation is a bit of a quandary though. Uber

All the more reason to document it with pictures.

ya def needs a tut. waiting to see if anyone else is keen, i would have to borrow a camera and file compressing software, could be a while before i got around it.
example of my current gears awesome capabilities,, [img]
[/img] i just realized now though that the single 16swg 5/16 in the kinged version could be 1/4 to tighten things up.

A while back, when I begged for help with this weave, someone posted the following: https://www.flickr.com/photos/68156782@N02/9241172073/
That was enough to enable me to make one unit, but I got distracted and did something else instead... Razz

Great resources so far. I'll likely be finding some time in the near future to tinker around with ARs.

my guess would be a similar AR range to hp3in1

Just made a couple rows from the tutorial, I found it easier to pre-create all of the Mobius units in the same orientation and then re-open links when needed to attach, but tutorial was great for explaining how the weave works.

ya its most definitely easier to sort out the unit then reopen but then you have to reopen, it only takes two of the outside rings to stabilize the inner mobius though so you could save yourself some reopening that way.

This weave follows a {6,3}/{3,6} tesselation, making it useful for certain geometrical feats.

Technically, it only follows the {3,6} schlafli because it forms a 3{6}3 apeirogon.

Ah, yes. Perhaps you’re right.

I am used to simplifying patterns - I seldom have use for more Complex tiling.

In small scales, it seems you are correct. I should be more careful in the future. I am glad though, that Schläfli notation is catching on. Wink

I would recommend just mentioning that it is in fact Schlafli notation (wherever you use it). It's a rather difficult thing to search for what it actually means to those unfamiliar and this aids in those curious readers.

(General searches for "tessellation notation" brings up the 3^6 style notation for me.)
