Recently a colourful pendant was added(tagged byz).

My ”objection”/”gripe” is with Why.

Several cells are present, however none are linked with another, and all are ”bolted” to surrounding structures and are effectively in the same direction.

That is to say, to me, a ”box” tag is more ”correct”.

(I might be biasef; as I see byz as a bolted box)

I tag weaves from gallery images on occasion when they are either not associated with any weaves or are tagged with the wrong weave, but those are pretty uncommon. As to who tags new gallery submissions, I’d assume it’s whom ever approved it.

If you link to the image in question we can take a look at it.

Looks like December with a different segment of byzantine connecting to the center. Since the middle has parallel rings, it's closer to byz than box. (Even the outside edge of each has parallel rings -- 3 stacked, so still byz).

while(!project.isFinished())
project.addRing();

Agreed. It doesn’t have very much Byzantine, but it’s present. One could argue that Box Chain is present, but they are single units. Since these units each have a pair of rings segmenting them, Byzantisation takes place.

Yes, the units all face the same direction as seen in Box Chain, however this is not occurring in one successive chain, which is what Box is.

And while I realize that not everyone views Byzantine as a valid weave, M.A.I.L. does and always has.

I have a progressive compromise suggestion:

Tag it as Both?

I’m all for compromise, but I don’t understand how it is progressive to say that something is what it is not.

Well, we can’t agree on which it is not? Wink
