I'm looking for a decent pair of cutters that I can use to score and break 20-22g stainless steel rings. Any brand/type suggestions?

Stainless is a pretty recalcitrant metal, stiff and difficult to saw.

Type recommendation: mini boltcutters, 200mm size. These will notch, and will be amply powerful to go completely through wire of that gauge.

Be mindful that selecting a tool that cuts your wire too readily will do you no favours when attempting score&break

In addition, a quality sidecutter can be used not just to score the ring, but to pry it away from the coil for the break

With those concerns in mind, it might be worthwhile to consider something like knipex 'twin-force' or 'x-cut' sidecutters
