box is euro 4in1 the weave is euro 4in1(with the edge rings connected back under inverted) there are four rings to a segment as in box.

I haven't done my testing yet, but the description lists it as an inverted box with a perpendicular grain. There also is a mention of HP in the technical name.

I only linked Box until more tinkering has been done to really find out what's related. I'll likely add FP to related weaves once I have more time than a lunch break to make a comment.

i guess 3/4 persian may be more accurate. since it isnt stitched around, and i dont think more than the two ring rows would splay out like windmill so its not very useful info but the connections are identical.

I have made a small bracelet using Windmill. I started with a 2-1-2 chain and then added the red ring to bring it to life. Interesting is that the weave will only curl in one direction and has a ridged spine like attribute that won't let it curl in the other direction.

I wonder how it compares to One and a Half Half Persian 3 in 1?

There's a great deal to explore on this one, since there isn't much noted for it...

I have a strong feeling that Brian Buron's Chain is another related one since it shares the Box+FP characteristics... but I'll need to wrap my head around it a bit more first.

I just made a short section of Windmill in AR 5 just to check it out. (Thanks for the tut thearmourman!). Cool weave. It was pretty snug, and it wants to curve so that the (named) top of the weave forms the inside (bottom, if it were a bracelet) of the curve. Since it can't bend so that the top is on top... I'm curious as to why the currently designated top of the weave isn't called the bottom and vice versa.

So I finally got around to tinkering around today.

4.2 is too small.
4.6 is too small.
4.85 is too small.

I give up. 5.2 worked. 4.85 was weave-able, but not infinitely expandable (it curled in on itself - it has somewhat of a "AR-locking" behavior at that size).
I may need to make a diagram of the bend directions.

From my tinkering around I have a bit more (obvious, but interesting) items to add:
1. This is a 4in1 weave.
2. Each segment is 2 rings, with alternating handedness.
3. It takes 5+ segments to stabilize an edge (it curls on itself to form 3/4 FP).
4. A chain of 3 segments length can be transformed into Three Quarters Persian.
5. If you make a circle 4 around, you have Full Persian 6 in 1 of length 2 segments.
6. If you make a circle of 6 around, you have Hilt Chain of length 2 segments.

This suggests that there may be a grizzle version of this as well as the kaede-like half steps.

I've removed Box Chain 4 in 1 from the related weaves above because it appears that sakredchao was using it in the description as a reference for grain, not relatedness.
