I'm starting a new project and I'm ready to buy rings, but the inches and mm get a bit confusing for this newbie. I'm not confident enough to just "come close" and work it out.
This is what I need:
296 20g/4.76mm sterling silver jump rings (A) 12:20
208 20g/3.18mm sterling silver jump rings (B) 8:20
150 21g/2.38mm sterling silver jump rings (C), 6:21

Also, if it matters, I'd like to buy silver AA rings. Don't want to ruin silver rings just yet Razz.

You probably want to take a look at this thread which should shed some light on your problem.

The material itself doesn't matter from a size/AR perspective it only affects the strength or beauty of the finished piece.

You need to find out if that 20g is AWG or SWG, as it makes a difference. The gauge scales are close but given you don't want to "come close" you'll need to find out exactly what the wire diameter or WD is.
