I want to make Romanov bracelets and am having a hard time getting the sizing correct in order to have my piece lay flat.
I am using Bright Aluminum 18swg 9/64 for the byzantine units, 6mm geometrically-cut crystals and 18swg 6mm(final) connector rings.
It doesnt want to stay flat, the connector rings tend to flip up, pulling the byzantine pieces away from the sides of the crystal.

Can anyone with experience with Romanov help? Tips and/or tricks? Is my sizing off?

Thank you in advance for reading this and considering my problems. Smile

18swg 9/64 sounds too small for making Romanov with Byzantine. You want an AR closer to 3.4 or 3.5. 18swg 5/32 (TRL says it has an AR of 3.4 in BA) would probably work better. The bead size of 6mm is good.
