Hi!

Is someone interested in a BDC 2014?
(I am, but one is a lonely number.)

I still have all the information that I could pass along if people are interested in getting it started again.

I would be interested in a new Birthday club, but don't think I'd be the person to run it...
I would be available as a emergency gifter.

The birthday club is sort of like secret Santa.
You send your name, address, preferences and such to whoever is running the club. Then you get a random name and information of someone else, and send them a nice chainmail gift.

The problem we had last time is some people didn't acknowledge the gift they got or didn't send a gift so some didn't get a gift...

BTW, I am also willing to try the coordination of a BDC 2014.

I would too, but unfortunately university has me occupied for a couple of months forward, making it near impossible for me to make some maille

I believe last time they did half year birthdays last time, so you'll get a present 6 months after your actual birthday (on your ##,5th birthday). That will also give people time to make something Smile
I believe last time some things went wrong with newbies (no offence) entering the club and not responding later on. Not sure what to do about that.
Seems harsh to make a minimal membership time or activity ranking... But might be something for a later discussion or up to the one running the show Smile

As a newbie, none taken Smile Something to consider for those of us who just showed up, have us send something first, then either celebrate a half b-day (which personally I'd feel more comfortable with since mine's only a month away, and while I'm pretty comfy with basics, I was hoping for a June or later bday to send to) unless the newbie sendee's bday is later in the year.

Heading back to my ring cave, my TRL order just showed up.

Truthfully it wasn't just newbies that weren't meeting their obligations. I was the coordinator for the last 2 years and there was no single group that was better or worse than another.

If it is decided that you want to do another birthday group I would be interested in participating, but not coordinating. I can give all of my files to the new coordinator to help with partnering.

I might be interested ... How does it work exactly?

Is it like an all year thing?

I have done various exchanges online in the past, but never anything involving birthdays.

I might be intimidated though; some of you guys on here are way better at all this stuff than I am.
