Actual ID Aspect ratio chart Posted on Thu Oct 17, 2013 7:18 pm Link to Post: A while ago I stumbled upon an aspect ratio chart where someone had tested the actual AR's in a huge variety of gauges, ID's, and metals. I was wondering if anyone else has seen it, and could direct me that way. Thanks.

However the ID and WD are going to be different between one ring supplier and another, even when it's the same material and they label it the same. You really need to know the actual ID and WD of the specific ring you are buying and then calculate the AR yourself to be sure. You may be thinking of Chainmailbasket's huge ring list. Otherwise, do the math. Much like Ohms Law V=I*R, so long as you know one value you can assign the second then derive the third. ID/WD=AR .250/.033=7.5 or WD*AR=ID .033*7.5=.250 or ID/AR=WD .250/7.5=.033Mostly Harmless
