I don?t know if anyone else has suggested this elsewhere, or even if it can be done, but here goes:

Idea 1) Would it be possible or make sense to add a counter of some sort to tell us mere mortals (regular non admin types) how many items we have in the queue waiting to be approved? I?m thinking mainly of gallery submissions. Right now it seems from my vantage point that once I click [submit] they drop into a black hole and I have no way of knowing if they actually went into the queue or not. I had a problem a few days ago where things clearly didn?t work and I knew it right away via an error message. (BTW: Thanks Blaise for getting that fixed so fast!) As it is now when the system works I have no way of being sure until my submission shows up in the gallery.

Idea 2) Can we be given access to our submissions while still in the queue to check, modify or delete them? That way if we multiple submit something or make some other mistake we could correct the problem ourselves.

I third this idea - if it's possible.

If a member can see all the details about their submissions that are waiting, and can edit them (not approve them), then that makes my job a lot easier - meaning I can just send a PM, or even do one of my little leaving a note in the details fields, and the submitter could alter the info themselves, which I could then approve.

Danke in advance.

How long does a member stay logged in if they are inactive? I notice sometimes that when I read long posts or go get something to eat, I get logged out. Would it be possible to increase the amount of time a member can be inactive?

It's not really a big problem. All I have to do is click on 'gator' and log back in, but sometimes I'm just not in the mood, ya know?

Does anyone else feel this way? If I'm the only one, then just disregard this post.

Peace.

Mical.

Is there a way to have the original submit date preserved on articles? Right now it looks like 2004-02-10 was the date 90% of the articles where submitted. Coif LoL

Right now it appears with the date of the most recent update.

example,

Quote:
Article- Submitted by XXXXX. 2004-02-10

A low priority request to be sure but something that if easily done would be nice. Smile

I can't decode this sentence. What are you asking for?

I don't know if this is a site or board suggestion, but someone a while ago brought it up.

If on either the right or left when we read articles, look at weaves, gallery, and preferably board topics, there could be a chart showing the gauges, inches, decimals of inches and metric equivalents, so when someone gives specifics for a rings and wire size, those of us using a different system could very easily just glance over to the left or right and see what rings that person is talking about. Or, as in the gallery what rings we need to reproduce that project ourselves if we like it.
