This one has been a thorn in my side for a while, but I finally got it!

I used pins to hold it down while I worked on it; like in this tutorial.

I used BA rings in 16g SWG 3/8 with an AR of about 6.5.

I want to try it with a little smaller AR next time.

Thanks Lorraine Smile

I tried it last night with some 16g SWG 11/32 (AR 5.6) rings I had and it locked up on me. I am thinking AR 6 is going to be the minimum for this one.

I wanted to make it a little thinner/daintier, but was worried that 18g SWG BA rings that big would not be sturdy enough.

I did a Viperscale minimum AR study not too long ago. Here it is.

My favorite AR for Viperscale is 6.0.

I made these today ...

I used 16g SWG 11/32 rings with an AR of 5.6; the weave is a little tight, but worked ok for the earrings. Well, the one at the top where the earwire is attached is a 5/16 ring.

Nice idea with the bead at the end.

I like to do beads or something when there is an open ring on the end like that. Sometimes I will do a mobius there, but it was too tight in this case.

Admittedly though, I did a quick Google search for "viperscale earrings" to see if anyone had done earrings before. I found one photo on Pinterest where someone did some like the ones I made there with the bead.

It took me a minute to figure out the right ring size to make it work. One was too tight, one was too loose.
