It's like Google Drive but it's integrated inside Microsoft's Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8, which means that whatever I put in is easily accessible form all my Windows 8 devices, which I find quite convenient.

Very nice piece, anyway. Well done.
One day I might shift myself to do more of the sheet weaves....

And there we go:

Bracelet made of Persian Wyvernscale weave. Side rings (HP 3-in-1) is 7/32" 18GA Bright Aluminum. Inner rings are composed of 5/32" 18GA Bright Aluminum, 5/32" 20Ga Copper (outter part) and 5/32" 20GA Brass (inner part). I had no idea about how to close it so I made a simple Brass hook.

I'm not sure if the official list of entries is here, or in the Contest Entry under new weaves.

If it is there, could you put my Hula Girl on that list?
Thanks

Firemedic, this thread is the official list of entries. Your Hula Girl entry is already entered here: http://www.mailleartisans.org/board/viewtopic.php?t=18136&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=30#229776

I am a little confused with the upload page: Are the 'weaves used' and tags (such as 'contest entry') assigned by the admins once I submit my image? There does not appear to be a place to specify either on the page I'm seeing. Or am I supposed to link to them in the description?

And does it matter where I submit my entry to first (gallery vs thread)?

All entries to the contest must be made here in this thread. That's one of the rules you can find in the opening post. We would appreciate you submitting your entry to the gallery because that's one of the reasons for the theme, but it is not required.

When you upload a picture to the gallery, yes, an admin will add the tags. But we need you to describe your submission with the minimum information of what the item is, and the weaves and materials you used. Ring sizes are always appreciated.

Here's my entry:

Fairy Link

The instructions for this unit weave calls for a single size of ring, since I didn't have that size I experimented and came up w/ a forumula using 4 sizes of rings.

Top - large link
a. bottom pair of rings - sterling silver 16ga 4.8mm ID (3/16") 4.0 AR
b. top pair of rings - black niobium 16ga 4.19mm ID (5/32") 3.5 AR
c. center pair & wings - sterling silver 18ga 4.8mmID (3/16") 4.8 AR
d. bottom vertical ring - sterling silver 18ga 3.7mm ID (9/64") 3.7 AR

Middle - medium links (the size I use the most)
a. black niobium 16ga 4.19mm ID (5/32") 3.5 AR
b. black niobium 20ga 4.17mm (5/32") 5.2 AR (right hand link substitutes a pair of sterling silver rings for the niobium)
c. sterling silver 18ga 5.03mm ID (3/16") 5.0 AR
d. sterling silver 18ga 3.7mm ID (9/64") 3.7 AR

Bottom - small link
a. gold filled 18ga 3.25mm ID (1/8") 3.2 AR
b. sterling silver 22ga 3.25mm ID (1/8") 5.1 AR
c. center rings - sterling silver 20ga 4.17mm ID (5/32") 5.2 AR
wings - gold filled 20ga 6mm OD
d. sterling silver 18ga 3.2mm ID (1/8") 3.2 AR

The Fairy Links can even be used upside down as shown in the top action shot. Smile These links and their evil twin Pixie Link make great center links for Y necklaces and are excellent bails for pendants.

That's what I needed to know, thanks!

I'll post to the gallery later today but for now I can post my entry:

Vipera Berus Sheet Pouch

Just big enough to fit a few mini tampons. Or a couple of cards and a few dollars. Whatever.

The two sides of the pouch are reversed (mirrors of each other). One side has royal blue and purple stripes, the other sky blue and lavender stripes, all over a green base. The side seams have green rings stitching the two pieces together, then a 2-1 chain running vertically through the stitches. The bottom seam is a single row continuation/connection of the e4-1 from the sides, with every other ring removed to ease tension.

Made with:
Sheet:
TRL AA 16g 1/4" rings:
~200 Purple
~200 Lavender
~200 Royal Blue
~200 Sky Blue
~420 Green
Connection to clasp:
TRL AA 18g 1/8" rings:
29 green

Pouch front/back

There seems to be a little bit of confusion involving entering this contest. Let me see if I can clear this up. Smile

This contest is being run just like all the other ones. You need to follow Rule 3:

3. Pictures and descriptions of the entry should be submitted to the contest submission thread before the deadline, by hosting the pictures offsite. (In other words, you need to use an image hosting site to place your picture in the entry thread. They are free to use, you just have to register with them to create an account. Some examples of image hosting sites are TinyPic, Photobucket, Flickr, and ImageShack.) Pictures must be a MAXIMUM of 100KB and a MAXIMUM of 800px per side.

Contest rules can be found in the opening post of this thread.

The only difference in this contest is this:

The idea behind having Weaves Without Gallery Submissions as the theme is so that we can add gallery submissions to weaves without them! Razz So for this contest, when you submit your entry, please take a few minutes to also enter your picture as a gallery submission. It is important that you follow the sizing rules for you entries so that they can also be submitted as gallery pictures. If you have any questions or problems with submitting something to the gallery, feel free to ask for help! Thank you!
Gallery Submission Guidelines

Keep submitting the awesome entries! You still have over a month to go!
