There are two ways to post pics from DA. They do actually give a link code (it is, however, in HTML) for sharing a pic to a forum (it's listed somewhere with the sharing options for other sites). Personally, I don't like how that method looks (it also posts a bunch of text below the image about the pic). The method I use is to right click on the image, go to image location, and copy paste the image URL here.

Insistence is futile.

We are the Quartz, lower your shovels and surrender your rocks. We will add your gemological and mineralogical distinctiveness to our own. You will adapt to service us. Resistance is rutile.

As far as I can tell, DeviantArt does not encourage sharing images outside their site.

Yeah, it is a bit iffy in their terms but they say that they want ad revenue from traffic going their way. It does, however, only say no external links for profit. I'm no lawyer but I would guess unless you use them explicitly for hosting images to save space on another site, you are probably fine.

Additionally, I use google's picasaweb (because no new account info for me to remember). Most web browsers will allow you to right click on the images you want to post and pick "copy image URL" or something similar. This will usually copy the link (with the .jpg) that you need to paste in the between the [img] tags.

Taste - Awesome.

I'll add the preperation pics to this album later:

This is the best thing I have ever seen. Period.

I think the important question is:

LOL, thanks for the tip Tal!

I had to use a cigarette lighter to melt the ends together. Burned my finger more than once. Razz

BTW all, DeviantART does work!

Oooo...I actually got something made in time for contest! That hasn't happened in quite a while. 363 rings made from tie-dyed flannel fabric. Rings are ~1.25" diameter. Total size is in the 16" x 22" or so. US quarter there for size. E 4in1.

Edit: Attempting to fix picture...Does it work now?

Your picture is not showing in the post. When I look at the "Properties" it says "HyperText Transfer Protocol with Privacy". Maybe that is the problem? Are you hosting the picture yourself?

Rjaburek, you have not responded to my question here or my PM. I will not be able to enter your picture into the contest until you respond with a link that works. Please respond!

I am hosting it on a Google page. When I made up the post last night, the image showed up just fine, but now...not so much. Let me see if I can figure it out.

Hi, I made a Japanese 4in1 Cube out of pipe insulation. The rings have a square profile and the cube has 28 cm edge length. I closed the rings with a hot-melt gun.

WD = 13 mm ID = 35 mm AR = 2.69 # = 252 Rings
