Hey Folks,
Articles are now able to be viewed in their 3.0 format.
There's some bugs...
Okay, there's a lot of bugs.
They are being worked on, but in the meanwhile, if you notice anything hinky, there is also an option to view the original.
There's a few "blank" articles that didn't convert properly (One of Chainmailbasket_com's, I know for sure) that need to be fixed.
Most of the errors are broken tag related... Please let me know if you notice anything really hinky.

A quick browse through my own submissions shows, that some BBCode conversion did not work (text with larger font setting ended up being even smaller as normal text) - once edits can be done, I'll edit mine. And I notice, that external links (that look as if they were made using 'a href' and 'img src', while I think to remember having BBCoded them on submission) are dead-ends now. These need edits as well to re-code them.
But I'M HAAAAAPPY to see progress.

Human societies are like chain mail.
A single link will be worth nothing.
A chain is of use, but will break at the weakest link.
A weak weave will have the need to replace weak links.
A strong weave will survive even with weak links included.

Yes, the older MAIL Article BBCode used a px font size. (As the current forums does)
MAIL 3.0 BBCode and phpBB3 (when we get there) use a percentage-based BBCode... The conversion causes a few issues
The links that don't work were indeed coded as HTML in the original Article as well, but without quotes inside the HTML tag... A breach of the HTML Spec, and something I didn't account for in the conversion. (chao's Articles show a similar problem, due to his use of ' instead of " inside HTML tags years and years ago)

i used html?
i find this surprising. if you had said, "chao used qbasic" this would almost be less surprising to me.
remember when you didn't need line numbers anymore? that was awesome.
oh yeah... hurray for articles!

Are you sure he doesn't mean actual "Chao", rather than "short for SakredChao"?

I was going through some of the articles and I like what I see. The print gets a little small at times especially when they are linked, but it is passable.
I was going to try to print off an article for reference in my new fire scaling experiments and the first page printed off fairly well, but the following pages only used the bottom right quarter of the page. Just thought I would let you know.
thanks for the great work. Now I can start my theory article up again.

A lot of older articles use a [1] [2] [3] etc "Size" BBCode...
Under the new system these corrispond to Header Sizes... 6 seems to be common... And Header 6 is VERY small...
It's on the hitlist.
Also, there are new [size=] tags for text... This will all be coming out in Help File format soon

The links to submit an article in My MAIL and Articles Home both lead to a 404 page. The link under the new articles on the front page works.

i click on the add to favorite button on weave tutorials, and when i go to my MAIL and look at favorites it dosnt show up, if i add it through the weave section it works fine, just not under the article/weave section, and im on the page that shows the weave itself. For example http://www.mailleartisans.org/articles/articledisplay.php?oldkey=22796 if i go and click on the add to site favorites, and then go to the site favorites from My MAIL, it dosnt show up
ok it does still go into my site favorites, but it will only show one favorite at a time, and i have to delete it to see the next one |
