Or, you can go down to two rings, then one, then the clasp. It's really a matter of what you like.

This is how I do it:

Mind you, I use the weave for sculpture and never need to put a clasp on the end.


Tell a mailler what ring sizes to use and they'll weave for a day. Teach them AR and they'll weave forever.
