This was a commissioned piece based on a TRL gallery post but I can't seem to find the original to give credit. It had wider rows and longer lines to the "corners". This is ALSO my first japanese 12 in 2 piece. I think I'm going to love this weave. It's fairly easy (once you're weaving large rings through the small instead of trying to close up tiny connector rings around 4 big fat ones).

sorry to be a bit redundant. This is a byzantine and hematite anklet for a friend based on a bracelet her sister bought recently. Until I looked at the pictures close, I didn't realize I could see myself in the stones.

I've finally decided to attempt making rings. I love seeing them but they've always seemed so daunting. The full persian is a tight weave for a ring but I managed to finish it. The last 2 rings go in so tight at least one has a significant gap, but it should hold. Although it was a pain to start, the half persian 4in1 went together a lot easier. Connecting the ends of that one was quite satisfying.
Thanks for taking a look. I shot the pictures in a newly constructed light box with a Cybershot camera, by the way. The backdrop needs work, but it was worth it. I need to find a nice dark mirrored surface like I see in a lot of Corvus' work. |

Thanks, Lorraine. I'm proud of my little rings. It's nice to have something small that I can wear in basically any situation. It's too bad TRL doesn't anodize 22g aluminum. I'm anxious to make some colored rings to sell. |
