| Hello all. I'm pretty new to chainmaille, so I unfortunately need a lot of help. I made a conundrum bracelet that is 4 strands wide. I'm excited to wear it, but I can't figure out how to finish it with a clasp since the strands are uneven. Does anyone have any suggestions?

|

| Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, I still couldn't figure out how to end it using a Japanese ? in 2. I took the helm chains apart, realigned and reconnected them differently. It's the only way I could figure out how to do it evenly, but I do appreciate your assistance. |

Well, maybe simply go to the weave entry of Conundrum, and look at the linked Gallery enties, how there the weave strips were finished, and how clasps were attached. That should answer your question, as I found there at two variants, and I like e.g. the piece that was finished with a tube clasp. But naturally you don't need to follow examples slavishly - I'm confident that you'll find a further method on your own, after having seen real-life ones, that fits your personal taste even better.

Human societies are like chain mail.
A single link will be worth nothing.
A chain is of use, but will break at the weakest link.
A weak weave will have the need to replace weak links.
A strong weave will survive even with weak links included.
