| I'm digging it. It looks really nice, better than the attempts I've made at creating scalemaille inlay patterns. Good job! |

Looks nice.
You can get a more accurate view of how the inlay will look by changing the weave in the options to 3.3 AR E4-1 right way. It pushes the rings closer together in the preview, and looks closer to what it will actually be.
As a final comment: Pictures! |

This is kind of funny, I made a vest with that exact same inlay....
I played with the graphic a whole bunch in illustrator. I first transformed the orginal web picture into a vector graphic then "rasterized" it at an appropriate resolution. Then off into IGP it went.
In progress:
Mine is made with spring stainless and anodized titanium. 16ga 7.5mm ID
It is part of my Amtgard kit (the pheonix being the symbol for Amtgard). |

I'd NOT replace the brass - that would imho ruin the unique design. For me it looks perfect as-is.

Human societies are like chain mail.
A single link will be worth nothing.
A chain is of use, but will break at the weakest link.
A weak weave will have the need to replace weak links.
A strong weave will survive even with weak links included.
