I'm digging it. It looks really nice, better than the attempts I've made at creating scalemaille inlay patterns. Good job!

All that work to be done in galvy. Le sigh. The pattern will look really nice, I think.

Yeah, why not stainless and black stainless?

Tell a mailler what ring sizes to use and they'll weave for a day. Teach them AR and they'll weave forever.

Looks nice.

You can get a more accurate view of how the inlay will look by changing the weave in the options to 3.3 AR E4-1 right way. It pushes the rings closer together in the preview, and looks closer to what it will actually be.

As a final comment: Pictures!

This is kind of funny, I made a vest with that exact same inlay....

I played with the graphic a whole bunch in illustrator. I first transformed the orginal web picture into a vector graphic then "rasterized" it at an appropriate resolution. Then off into IGP it went.

In progress:

Mine is made with spring stainless and anodized titanium. 16ga 7.5mm ID

It is part of my Amtgard kit (the pheonix being the symbol for Amtgard).

I'd NOT replace the brass - that would imho ruin the unique design. For me it looks perfect as-is.

Human societies are like chain mail.
A single link will be worth nothing.
A chain is of use, but will break at the weakest link.
A weak weave will have the need to replace weak links.
A strong weave will survive even with weak links included.
