Human societies are like chain mail.
A single link will be worth nothing.
A chain is of use, but will break at the weakest link.
A weak weave will have the need to replace weak links.
A strong weave will survive even with weak links included.

I once wrapped a stone in a chain maille spike ball. I don't know if that's pointless or not now.

Ooh, I'll second board games.

I propose cause and effect.

Tell a mailler what ring sizes to use and they'll weave for a day. Teach them AR and they'll weave forever.

MacroMaille. Maille with an ID of larger than 2 inches/5.08 cm.

If at first you don't succeed, try a different aspect ratio.

What is the definition of pointless armor? Armor without spikes? Very Happy

xD I think it is armour that wouldn't be usefull... armor that doesn't protect a lot, or that is too heavy to wear, that protects something that doesnt need protection (like chainmaille for a rock).

Exactly, Kleriker! While I'd like to leave the interpretation up to each entrant's creativity, I was thinking along the lines of fantasy armour, leaving the wearer a bit vulnerable, yet protected in some area.
