Nice! I feel like a bit of a doof playing with the paint program like a hack for 3 hours. You sure added that pro look to the idea.

You shouldn't, that picture looked by far better then anything I ever did with paint ^^
(Paint is actually kinda great for making small patterns for cross-stiching though).

I use it a lot for mapping out inlays I plan to get around to one day. I just make pixel checkerboards to simulate stretched 4in1.

As I said this isn't my first choice of fonts but here's a finished product we could vote on. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7147/6647274259_03d28714bd_m.jpg
Much thanx to Brian Geuther for creating this graphic.

I only un-pgn'd this file to prove how little I really know about my computer. the fonts I ended up adding are Algerian and Mistral.

The colors help for definition and all but maybe it would be better to keep it simple. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7141/6647819737_b68d703ff1_m.jpg

For that i prefer a prog that shows me the actual rings, because i keep loosing track otherwise....
But i do exactly the same for crossstiching, every pixel is a cross and with the raster, it is really easy to keep track (other medium, same problem ^^).

I like the colorless one, would be great for mugs, small front-pic on a poloshirt and so on.

To be clear on what I'm actually submitting...
Just the one below with the knowledge of integrating color changes/other edits... such as spacing/sizing.

From my last version, I modified the mobius to not have any fusing and equal angle rotation between the rings as well as removed very dark shadows.

Of course, I can also assist on small CGI requests as well if needed.

Those are really neat Dravin! The 1 and 3 remind me of Lord of the Rings. There are some really good designs on this thread, it will be hard to choose.

Ok, I lied about only submitting the one... as I had another interesting idea.

Agreed. #3 even 'induces' a slight optical illusion for me, as it nearly seems that the ring would change its orientation...

Wow, what cool designs!

Perhaps, as it gets more and more common, a QR Code could be added to provide quick access to the page.

As soon as I figure out how to post a pic in here, I'll do! Smile

In addition to each of the other pics an logos the QR could be added to a bottom corner, on a arm (T-shirt), on a hood (when there) or on the back between the shoulder blades. so it does not interfere too much with the main logo but links the homepage quickly!

QR-Code for Mailleartisans.org (maybe you need a Facebook-account to see this!)

Same thing as posted just above, but optimized to shorten the URL and make the QR code smaller.

Alright everyone, I'm going to put up a poll soon to get some votes, but want to get a few things cleared up first.
Dravin, is it alright if I use the 1st and 3rd images from your first group of entries and 3rd and 4th from the latest as your vote-able entries? I ask that because the other images seem to be color or effect variations on the ones I mentioned and including them all would spread voting too thin.

TCG, I've got two from you - the "woven" M.A.I.L. and the single "etched" ring, is that right?

djgm, what is the weave name for http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7141/6647819737_b68d703ff1_m.jpg? I tried to find it in the unit section of the weave library here but couldn't (if it is there, the picture doesn't adequately represent it). I plan to use that single-color version for voting, and let people chime in for how it should or should not be colored (same with Dravin's wordmarks).

that is fine with me, they are pretty much all the same just arranged and colored differently, and or different effects added to them

The last woven MAIL and the "etched" ring from me is correct.
