Hey gang it looks like you are stuck with me running things again. (luckily I will have great help again with Jax25, Rognvald, and Zili) It is now time to sign up for yet another great year of Birthday club.
It is the goal of this club to share maille with each other while celebrating each others birthdays. This is open to all MAIL members from beginners to experts. This year we will do our best, just like years past, to get you as many gifts as you give, but please understand if that does not occur and know that everybody should receive at least one birthday gift. We have people spread all over the world and at times life throws us curves that we cannot control.
If you would like to participate this year please send the following information to me (MusicMan) in a PM and post in this thread that you are going to participate.
1. Information to send:
a. MAIL Name
b. Name
c. Address
d. Alternate form of communication (e-mail, phone…) just in case PM’s aren’t answered
e. Gender
f. Birthday
g. Bracelet Size (mm or in)
h. Necklace Size (mm or in)
i. Choker Size (Yes/No) / (mm or in)
j. Earrings (Yes/No)
k. Finger Ring Size
l. Allergies
m. If you can send overseas (Yes/No)
n. If you can be an Emergency Gifter [2-4 weeks notice] (Yes/No)
o. If you want more than one partner (Yes/No)
p. Favorite Colors
q. Favorite Metals
r. Interests or other information to help creating your gift easier
Send Overseas – We have members from all over the world participate and it can be fun to send and receive things from other countries. If you feel you are able to send things around the world we are appreciative of this an it allows more people to participate. If you are not able to send overseas don’t worry, even if you are in Europe, we want you to participate and we will find you a partner that will work out best for you.
Emergency Gifter – Emergency gifters are some of the most important people and if you can put together a gift in a couple of weeks your skills will be greatly appreciated. Life throws us problems all the times and if you can help out it is appreciated. We will always try to give at least 2 weeks notice for an emergency gifter.
More than one Partner – This year we are going to try something new. Rognvald will be organizing those people who would like more than one partner and we are going to be coordinating things so that we do not have you sending to the same person twice in one year.
---------------------------------
After you get a gift all we ask is that you post in the thread that you received it and a photo is also greatly appreciated so we can all Ooo and aahhh over what you got as well.
Finally - Communication is the key to success of this club. Last year many people ran into problems, but let us know and we were either able to change things for them or delay the sending to help them out. When people just fall off the grid it really puts stress on the coordinators. So please just send us a PM so we don’t have to use the Alternate form of communication and contact you that way.
Thank,
MM

The first rule of birthday club? Don't talk about birthday club! *grin*
So MM, are all three of us your helpers? Or how is that working? |

Human societies are like chain mail.
A single link will be worth nothing.
A chain is of use, but will break at the weakest link.
A weak weave will have the need to replace weak links.
A strong weave will survive even with weak links included.

We have had great responses so far. We may have to re-name it the German/American birthday club because those are the only countries represented so far. I know you are out there!
I wonder how many countries will be represented this year. Last year we had 6 countries represented.

Well, even though I am in the US for college, my family lives in Japan right now, so I can easily tag up with anyone in Japan. I have three addresses, my college mailbox, my US military on-base address, and my Japanese street address. So make that 3 countries |

Now that is a great mix of addresses. How do you ever keep them straight? I would get confused with just 2.
