Well, it's got to beat the butted one at least. They admit that the butted one will slowly fall apart from it's own weight if left alone, and it comes with a handful of replacement rings "just in case!"

In other words, they managed to make it not fall apart as easily whilst still not weighing very much. Still... I wonder how long it takes to do that?

By left alone I think while being used. Just hanging in a closet it will keep. Wearing it over time the force of gravity will pull as it shifts and hangs to slowly gap the rings. Even pressure against the back of a chair while sitting will in time distort rings.

5. No clue, but "a lot" seems like a safe guess.

8. I'm horrible at estimating ring counts (I just get a pile that looks big enough, and either add more or put away extras as needed). Haven't made that many pieces--less than a hundred, more than five. I do enough counting at work, I don't need any of that here Razz
9. Easily. I have plenty of free time, and needed something to fill it with.
10. Because it's fun, it calms me down when I'm anxious/upset, and it lets me make pretty things.
11. Reading, writing, video games, web surfing, tv
12. I don't make armor at all.
13. Nope.
14. Nope. Want to eventually, though.
15. I think they're great for people who want an inexpensive maille costume.
