Furthermore; the trans configuration is basically a two-unit wide diagonal segment of the cube. If you use those three rings in the middle of the image to connect a Tetra Orb, you should end up with a cube.

Basically, it’s a {4,3} tesselation, just like the cube, and it’s a misnomer to call it hex, as that’s just a shadow.

I havn’t deciphered cis yet.

So what about the 4-2c4-2?

Most individuals who weave 4 in 2 Captivated 4 in 2 do so in 2 ring sizes. Sure, the single ring size one pictured looks quite nice, but is 8.anything more ideal than a trimmed down version? In terms of simplicity, perhaps, but how many maillers maille with such large ARs?

I believe that’s a mistranslation. I could bet 100$ on that the AR is 8.4.

It’s the principle of the thing, I believe that AR should be represed as few wire and ring sizes as possible.

At least until someone implements a Two-tier system. Razz

Coyote's Chaos is impossible at AR 3.2.

That would mean the listed ideal, rather is a min.

Alienmaille impossible at AR 3.

Annika Links should not have an AR, as it’s not rings.

The following are listed as AR 8. It’s wrong. The submitted wire is 1.3mm, not 1.0.

Orbital Fake Diamond 2:6
Orbital Fullerene 2:6
Orbital Pentagon 2:6
Orbital Cube 2:6

Just to clarify, I wasn’t suggesting that the rings in the sample picture weren’t 8.4. I’m not saying they are either, just noting that the ideal AR for the weave in question is and should be two values.

8.4 is a semi-popular size in sweden among larpers and history enthusiasts. Enough to sell millions and millions of rings, in such a small country.

Double Box Locked Byz lacks AR data, even though present in the text?

One Night at Denny's Contradicts Trees on minimum AR.

Any further comments on the next 7 weaves?

Can you provide pictures of the samples you’ve made out of these weaves?

CC; pictures are impossible for me to make at that AR. I couldn’t even get second ring in properly. (The basic coyote unit, of 6 rings, are 8 in CC. The 8th ring, for me, takes too much place, for me to be able to Continue at all, pictures are therefore, not saying anything, I’d say.)

AM; I could photograph Two strips of E4-1. Whatever that would produce. I can’t place the second edge link.

AL; that’s a comment on the Production. It uses non-rings, therefore AR is not applicable?

Snitter was wrong about his rings. It’s 1.3mm, not 1.0. In later weaves, he corrected himself. (4x orbital). I don’t see How i could add a photo here?

DBLB, is a comment on the text. The data the submitter presented is in the text, so, Why isn’t it in the DB?

The last weave comparison, was a late night thought experiment. No pictures, and I might have seen wrong; I cannot be sure anymore.

Fair enough. Many of these weaves have no associated gallery images, and it would be nice for every weave to have at least one. I have a dozen or so that I’ll submit in the near future.

For the most part, I’ll leave speculative AR changes to the discretion of the weaves admin.

Shenanigans should have the same AR as Dragonscale, right?

Half Persian 6 in 1 Helix either has mislabled, or is a duplicate with mislabled AR.

European 8 in 1 is quite stiff at AR 6.15. After having woven 2 baskets and 4 tablets, I would not set Ideal at any lower than that. That’s the High end of skulpture ar, not even close to being Armour practical.

Hmm yes, 5.9 is a bit low for E8-1. Good call.

Baskets & tablets, eh? I’d love to see them if possible Smile

I’ll see what I can do. One of the baskets was submitted in a contest, with the handle not yet finished.

I’ve given them away, but when I see them, I could try to photgraph them.
