So this project was inspired originally by Spider of www.silverweaver.com and then again by Lorraine. Granted, this isn't luxurious silver or colored, but I think steel makes this a piece guys can wear . . . perhaps minus the earrings of course. (This will also be my first time using thumbnail pics as links, so wish me luck . . . and it didn't work, so I did the next best thing and just included the full size links after the thumbnail pics, sigh.) Incidentally, it was cloudy out today, so that's why it looks like I used some kind of blue filter. I almost had a commission for the necklace alone in black and I was going to use TRL's black niobium.

| I really like this! Are the gauges in awg or swg? I'm trying to figure out the ideal sizes for my own graduated necklace without having to buy every size in existence! |

make your own rings: buy wire and get every ring size.

| Yeah, girzglitch, making your own rings is certainly cheaper in the long run. I still haven't gotten that far myself. I'm still getting mine from TRL for now. I checked the sizes on TRL and the 16s and 18s are SWG while the 20s are AWG. Still, I only used 6 sizes (according to this post anyway. This was a while ago.) Never hurts to have extra rings around if you use the minimum amount for purchase. These are all going to be in the "Persian" range of ring sizes, so you may find another use for extras. I forget if I posted it yet, but I also have a graduated set where each segment is separated by a green crystal with a series of green mother-of-pearl shards in the middle. |
