Being able to compare 3-4 images/weaves together on a page goes to the kind of site this is supposed to be, research, experimenting, creating....this feature would be huge.

I would love to be able to do this. Pweeze?

A dozen, or two seems reasonable enough... Thoughts anyone?

I think a dozen is plenty for most projects. Two dozen may not be needed as much, but if it's not too much trouble, then sure. Any more than that and I don't see the point.

just a few things off the top of my head:

1) articles and tutorials: i would like to see some kind of commenting option were people could ask questions and the community could help answer them. granted that is what the forum for but for a quick Q&A it might be a good idea. you could set it up to auto prune its self every so many days if the question has been answered, so it doesn't take up to much resources in the database.

2) i liked the idea about adding friends and what not, implementing SOME social networking i think would be a good idea.

3) maybe setting up some kind of area for some online teaching groups, all it would need to be is some kind of online interactive chat with a possible webcam feed for the instructor to demonstrate what ever the subject of there class is. The way i see this working in my head is first some one would offer to run a class on a certain date and time, an admin then would provide access to the webcam feed if the instructor so wishes it, the webcam feed could be handled though some place like usteam to not eat up bandwidth on the server. the date and time would then be posted on the main page in advance. and then people would just show up in the class room for the class?

We have an entire "Articles Forum" for that. More organization for said forum might be nice, though. It's not always clear what articles the individual threads are referencing. Which is a problem when I want to see if my question has already been asked/answered.

Submitters are also encouraged to update their articles to clear up any issues.

How about a link from a poster's name/avatar to their profile? Currently, it is quite cumbersome to find a profile or PM someone.

There's a "profile" and a "PM" button under all posts. Very Happy

What's a "rep" option?

I think they mean, a User Repuation system... With the ability to say "Hey, this post was helpful"

I knew I was missing something, but I couldn't find it anywhere. Oh well, ignore that suggestion then.
