I have a request.

Dos anyone make clasps so e6-1 such that the evenness is presurved.
That is to say that if i clasp just once the 6-1 shifts so the the ring kinda pair up.

I want them to stay even.

Any idea (pictures or a tutorial would be great.

this isnt for an e6-1, but it is for an e4-1, so can most likely fit the e6-1 with little to no effort what so ever.

cut a double turned ring from your coil, kind of like a split rings, then bend it open into a S or 8 shape.use those in the place of two rings on the end of your e6-1 and it will keep the ends from flopping.

Pairing up of 6in1

Hi,

I know the message is very old, but still. I don't think you had the answer you were looking for. My 6in1 also tends to pair up when pulled at the end. The reason for that is that 6in1 is actually two independent 4in1 weaves interlocked. Play around and you'll understand what I mean. So the only real whay to prevent pairing is to lower AR, or make 8in1. Basicly, if the weave pairs up, it's too loose to stay even.

Hope this is not too late to help you out, as we mailers are fast learners, and this might've become obsolete to you.

Your right i did not yet get the answer i was looking for.

and you also right that lowering the AR will solve the problem
(you also seem to be the only one so far that really understood waht i was asking for)

However if i DON'T want to lower the AR i can joint the two ends together and that also solves the problem. But i makes a braclet or choker kinda useless if i can't open it except with pliers

SO is the some typ of clasp that will work?

The link posted above works very well for E6-1, and if you link the clasp through two sets of rings at the end, it minimizes the pairing effect that can happen. However, if the AR is too high, then no matter what you do, it will get some. I discovered this with a galvy bracelet 6-1 i made. just didn't quite behave.

*sleepy*

Yes that link will work with E 6-1 the same as any hook will work with e 6-1 what i need however in a technique or hook that is specifically desinged to act as 6-1 so when used with 6-1 in a high AR the groups wont bunch

Well, there's a challenge for you. To the best of my knowledge, such a clasp has not been created.

Have you actually tried using the Amph clasp yet, or are you guessing?

I had actually gone on to other projects and forgot about it untill this thread became active again... maybe its time to go back and play with it some more.

I've discovered something interesting.

Euro 8-1 triples up.. Then again, I am using a rather extreme AR(0.8mm wire with a 6mm ID)
