I am trying very hard to make a necklace with small aluminum scales. I don't want to use a euro netting to attach the scales, but I am having a very hard time getting started. Can anyone give me some advice or point me to a tutorial? I've seen the pictures on TRL, but still can't get started. Help, please.

Wow, this poor thread has been sitting here for almost a month...

I assume that when you say "euro netting" you're referring to a complete sheet of euro 4-in-1, correct? That would be a pain to attach scales to. The nicest way I've seen to do it is basically to treat the scales themselves almost as though they were pre-closed rings.

Here's a link to what I'm referring to: http://www.theringlord.org/forum/showthread.php?t=37551

If that doesn't do it for ya, I would suggest going through a lot of trial and error. Just try to copy what you see in the pictures, and if you mess up, try again. Scales aren't incredibly easy to get started, but after some time, the patch will begin to stabilize itself.

I hope that helps.
