Not bad - actually that looks pretty good. I see you've used 'tree' spikes, i was debating whether to get those or plain cone spikes. I ended up with the cone ones.

I was trying to work out how to attach them and I see you've used washers - that's probably what I'll end up doing. Does it help the spikes to sit straight better?

The washers definitely help with making them stand straight, but the biggest thing they help with is handling various ring sizes. The washers aren't usually needed with small rings, but the spikes can easily fall through larger rings - depending on wire diameter. I don't know what they are called, but I prefer the screws that are flat against the washer(not the angled ones)
