I know I promised this to people months ago, but I just haven't had time until now...

Anyway, here it is!

Constructing Hoodoo Chain

Blaise,

Nice article. There is one problem with one of the pictures though. Step 2, first picture. You have [Hoodoo3.jpg"] and therefore it will not load. Other than that, good stuff. Smile

Peace,

Matt

'Tis true my form is something odd,
But blaming me is blaming God;
Could I create myself anew
I would not fail in pleasing you.
If I could reach from pole to pole
Or grasp the ocean with a span,
I would be measured by the soul;
The mind's the standard of the man.

I just fixed that Wink hehe, and I also changed "checked" to "checkered" -- a minor change.

So does this mean that your horseman-split seam tutorial will be next??? Very Happy

edit: duh, forgot to say that it's a very nice tutorial, and thanks for getting that finished! Of course, I got to learn is hands on... hehe

Bative: You're probably thinking of the Hoodoo Sheet tutorial I did.

Cobra and Drax: That's really strange. It worked fine when I did the preview.... Thanks for catching it!

And yes, I'll get a seam tut up Wink as soon as I figure out how to model it with POV-Ray. The angles are a bear!

Confused Confused Confused
What kind of a difference would that be? Are you talking about how with a hauberk the front and back are cut up to the groin to allow you to sit a horse? For that all you need is a slit and a few links of King's Maille at the top to make sure it doesn't unravel.

No, he's talking about an innovation I made on my last hauberk, where the split actually overlaps by about six columns at the top of the seam, so the wear and tear is much more distributed. It's hard to explain without pictures, and I haven't managed to get the pictures to render right yet...
