As a new member (and new to chainmaille) I recently came across a post from 10 years ago for trinity twist earrings.

http://www.mailleartisans.org/board/viewtopic.php?t=13964

This was originally by Lorraine who I discover sadly passed away last year.

I would like to replicate these and have looked up the Trinity Weave but am unable to see how to get the shape so they hang as pictured.

Can anyone help

Alan

I would say that the first thing you do is use the exact same rings (1.75mm in 22 awg, which is 0.6 mm in diameter according to the Ring Lord's chart, and more like .635 mm according to conversion-by-Google).

If you don't want to use the same rings, make sure you match the aspect ratio. That's about an AR of 2.75 or 2.76, depending on if/how you round.

What is the size / AR of the rings you're having trouble with?

I've never made a pair of earrings as nicely as Lorraine. However, if you want the twist to be prominent, use an AR that is too small for European 4-in-1. If one ring will only accommodate three others and not the fourth, you'll have a good, solid twist.
