Hello. My name is John. I am sort of new to the site. I have been doing chainmail for about 5 years. I also have been a blacksmith for about 5 years as well. I am still learning. I just figuered I would finally introduce myself.

Hello from sunny Colorado! I've been going to this annual Renaissance Fair every year for the last 20 years and only dressed up twice. I really want to change that, but who can afford to purchase some of this finely crafted armor they sell there, amiright? I've lurked on this site for a while without registering, and followed some tutorials on here and youtube to get to the point where I now have something resembling a butted chainmaille shirt. It has incredibly increased my hand strength and I've developed these thick calluses where the pliers contact my hand, but it's worth it. I'm going to have some questions, but I'll try to find an appropriate place to do that, just wanted to introduce myself here before I get into it. I'm kind of in a rush, I need to get sleeves on my shirt before June of this year, so back to "work" I go. Smile

Hello everyone! I'm Duane from a small town about an hour North of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I used to help a family member years ago. Now, I'm trying it out for myself and loving it. My wife is even going to get in on it with me.

Love the site so far!
