How about Solar Eclipse?

Again close, but not quite. There are still a couple of differences. Firstly, Solar Eclipse uses three ring sizes rather than two. And secondly, the horizontal rings do not go through the same number of rings. In the chain Timefire made, one of large horizontal rings goes through 3 on one side and 2 on the other side and the second large horizontal ring goes through 1 ring on one side and then through 3 rings on the other side. In Solar Flare, the largest horizontal ring goes through 2 on one side and 3 on the other, and the smaller horizantal ring goes through 2 on one side and 1 on the other. Also, the middle small vertical ring in Timefire's goes through 3 of the larger horizontal rings (1 on one side and 2 on the other side), while in Solar Flare, that middle vertical ring only goes through 2 horizontal rings (both on the same side).

Insistence is futile.

I would not say ring sizes always are necessary to define a weave, and I don’t see it in Solar eclipse.

Om the same Notion, what would differ the new Sonic waves from E8-1?

On their own, no. It's a matter of how they are used and are they actually needed for a structural difference rather than simply an appearance change.

Sonic Waves is not entirely Euro 8-1, only the largest rings are. It progresses down from 8-1 to 6-1 to 4-1 to 2-1. This will have an affect on its behaviour/structure and not simply its appearance (if it was purely an appearance change it would have been transferred). It was approved as a modification, but it was a close call.

It progresses down, like a 4 ring strip of 8-1, doesn’t it?

While I see the novelty, I don’t know If I would have made the same call.

As I said, it was a close call, and, even now, I'm still split on it. There's a reason it's been in the queue since last summer.

I understand the wait.

I believe that There are weaves with less ”weave” status in the library, so I’d not remove it, now that it’s in.
