Could the roll-over aspect ratio menu (excellent tool, by the way: Thanks DL) include 14 and 12 gauge? I work almost exclusively with 14, and it's a little bit annoying to see not have the stats listed.

If at first you don't succeed, try a different aspect ratio.

Or perhaps have an option to display such in your profile.

(Note: These posts should really be in the other thread)

What about a menu in my M.A.I.L. with boxes to check which wire size you would like to search for?

For instance, if I were to check 14 and 16 AWG, the roll-over menu would only list AR's in those two gauges.

I suspect you mean ring sizes... As the AR is a constant.

Simply put, for codings sake, I chose to display even gauges between 16 and 24...
In my mind, at least, jewellers rarely use anything over 20 or 18g... And rarely smaller than 24...
And armourers rarely anything smaller than 18g...
So, the list, as it stands, should be good for 99% of the MAIL population...

Most people using 14 or 12g, are likely doing armour, in one of possibly a half dozen weaves... Let's face it... Most weaves in the library are jewellery oriented.

I'll add 14g to the list, but I doubt I'll be making changes to allow users to select the gauges they'd like to see... That would increase the code and overhead exponentially.

With all the other stuff you have to worry about, an exponential increase in your workload is the last thing we would want.

Would a "random weave" button be something worthwhile? We do have over a thousand weaves, and if someone wants to learn a new one, it would be a neat idea to randomly generate one.

[edit- I am an idiot....... It was such a good idea that it was already there]

Uhm...
I'd print a screenshot and circle it for you, but I'm off to bed shortly...

Go to any page in the Weaves Section, and check the subheader Smile

i think for a newbie that all weaves that have tuts should be easier to find, as a newbie i have to look through all the weaves to find 1 with a tut, it gets frustrating cause i see so may i like but woundnt have a clue how to do them if there is no tut with it

I second a tag box we can check for weaves with tuts. (Traceyalex: don't sell yourself short. After awhile, you will be able to look at some of the weaves and figure them out without a tut. Smile)

I would also like to have a tag box for all weaves in alphabetical order. For some reason, that would be useful for me. Probably because that's how I memorized the library in the first place. Razz

Don't need a tag box for all weaves in alphabetical order, just an appropriate hyperlink. The specific family/construction/property/etc links should list in alphabetical order already, as should any checkbox searches.

Yeah, I don't know anything about how it would be done... I would just like the feature of being able to go through all the weaves, regardless of specific family/construction/property/etc. Smile

I also second this. You can't necro a sticky, right?
