Haven't posted (or logged in) in forever it seems, but I still lurk, still make maille, play with rings, etc.

I wonder how many of the other old school kids are still kicking around.

I think my biggest regret I'm starting to realize is that I haven't really documented anything I've done in the past few years. I've got maille floating around all over the place that I've given away to people... but I hardly have any pictures of it. I plan on trying to remedy that over the next few weeks, so expect a random stuff appearing in the gallery from me again.

Current project : 20g 1/8 isotropic shirt in stainless/titanium. Slight variation on Dr T's work, I found an alternate way to connect the three-way intersections of patches that I think feels better. Will document eventually.

Last project : "Garter belt" weave bracelet last week. Shocked at how easy the weave is, it's almost no-thought. Also shocked that the weave isn't in the weaves library.

Welcome back!

Tell a mailler what ring sizes to use and they'll weave for a day. Teach them AR and they'll weave forever.

Hi! Still here, on and off. Smile

Shenanigans is not scaled and is not the same as Garter Belt. Garter Belt is the name Dylon Whyte of Art of Chainmaille gave to using small edge rings to stabilize two rows of Emperor's Scale.

I'm also not dead yet.
I haven't made maille in what seems like ages (a couple of years) but I picked up my pliers again recently. I have too many hobby's. But I'm looking for a way to combine them. How can I incorporate some maille in my guitar building... Razz
I also picked up HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts). Mainly longsword and dussack (German school, mainly Joachim Meyer and Paulus Hector Mair)
