Clever and very funny! You have a writing style much like my own, to the point and laced with a little bit of humor. Well written and said, thank you for saying what most of users are shouting at the monitor when reading a post or two.

Sarcasm? Wasn't that the language with the many Ooohs and Aaahs? Or was that another '...asm'? Laughing

Human societies are like chain mail.
A single link will be worth nothing.
A chain is of use, but will break at the weakest link.
A weak weave will have the need to replace weak links.
A strong weave will survive even with weak links included.

If the subject didn't say it enough, I get corrected a lot at home...I love the post you made but there were parts of it that to me seemed a bit condescending.

This brings to my attention another important point that Blaise touched on with the last paragraph of his article: keeping your tone from being misunderstood.

I understand there is a fine line between intent and perception, but it is rare for people to actually be on a forum and not know what a sentence is, how to capitalize the first word, or referring to the line after a paragraph as commemorating the conclusion of a point.

Remembering this, it's important to realize that people speak differently, so I feel that so long as someone is easily understood, we don't have to follow a proper lockstep script...
... and yes, I also work at a call center. I never knew I'd be so surrounded with Linguistic Correctness. Laughing
