i talked to a couple of folks who have a gallery in los angeles who expressed interest in hosting the quilt once it is complete. they are aware the piece is not for sale.

almost makes me want to make another patch so we are that much closer to being on display! also, i have a secret ambition to not let a certain chainmailbasket have a higher percentage of quiltpatchness than i do.

we need 4 more patches. if you are considering making a patch but don't want to "waste your time" on the off chance that you are #5, i am quite interested in putting together a second quilt. you will not be wasting your time.

FYI: My daughter (ALZ) and I (ZiLi) have a further patch in work, each. Originally planned constructions didn't work out as planned, but they should be finished somewhen, as we both went to follow alternate plans.

Human societies are like chain mail.
A single link will be worth nothing.
A chain is of use, but will break at the weakest link.
A weak weave will have the need to replace weak links.
A strong weave will survive even with weak links included.
