I recently finished a complete jewelry set of Candy Cane Cord using two colors to make a spiral effect (here's the necklace http://www.mailleartisans.org/gallery/gallerydisplay.php?key=8470). I searched, but didn't see anything in the gallery like it. Nor articles, that touch on how to create it. I did my best at searching the forums, still nothing. Did I miss something, or should I go ahead and try to hack my way through an article?

You can write an article describing the pattern of colors you used, or if it's short, you can add the information to your gallery submission.

I love Candy Cane Cord! I have a necklace in stainless steel (19g SWG 3/16", which is about 1mm/5mm, AR 5.0) that I wear all the time.

Okay...well...writing articles just doesn't seem to be in my wheelhouse.
A simple description of the color scheme is a 16 ring sequence. I'm going to use A and B to represent two different colors.
1: A through AA, 2: B through BB, 3: A through BBAA, 4: B through AABB
5: A through BA, 6: B through AB, 7: A through AAAB, 8: B through BBBA
9: A through BA, 10: B through AB, 11: A through AAAB, 12: B through BBBA
13: A through AA, 14: B through BB, 15: A through BBAA, 16: B through AABB
To start using the Candy Cane Cord tutorial, as reference:
ring 1 would be step 1 (pic 3)
ring 2 would be step 2 (pic 4)
rings 3 & 4 would need to go through a like color ring last.
from ring 5 and on the sequence should be easy to follow.

Ask me about custom engraving.
