I'm not quite sure what this whole thread is supposed to mean.
Or am I quite sure to not know what this whole thread is supposed to mean?

Intermediate solution for people who urgently need one of his tutorials: Go to www.archive.org and look at one of cgmaille.com's archive snapshots.

A single link will be worth nothing.
A chain is of use, but will break at the weakest link.
A weak weave will have the need to replace weak links.
A strong weave will survive even with weak links included.

Hey I noticed an error on your site. In regards to closing JPL. I'd only give it 4 rings of difficulty if its done like the following image.

If you aren't closing it on your own wrist I'd rate it maybe a 3 ring.
Although I guess to be fair I did sort of cheat on this. Its made of 18g 1/8 sterling, but the very last ring put in to close it was 20g 1/8... It still bugs my OCD.

Indeed, you can change the difficulty of any number of weaves if you do it wrong. Wink

Well to be fair doing JPL as a permmie, even with me changing the very last ring was a 4. I actually went back and redid that ring to an 18g 1/8 since I posted and I would call that a 5, or higher since that ring size is in the bottom range of tightness. and doing it one handed to boot...

I was just saying closing it when you have full use of both hands wasn't really a 4 to me. Probably due to how many I did. It is my favorite weave for rings, so I had a lot of practice.

All that said I love your site, and your ratings are a fair guideline to go by for people just learning the weaves. I mostly wanted an excuse to show my permmie... I always thought I was crazy for doing that weave, but it worked cause I like challenges.
