My first silver project |

I am working on some earrings from sterling silver for gifts.
I bought a kit from a seller on Etsy so I didn't have to buy a lot of the silver rings that I won't use later.
Working with these delicate little rings is a lot different than the aluminum I am use to. I hope I don't mess it up!
I will post pics soon as I am done |

Here they are ...
Full Persian weave from 22g AWG sterling silver rings in 3.6mm (9/64) ID.
This was the first time I have ever done this weave so small. |

How pretty! I love the design.
I never would have thought to connect to the earring back like that. |

Admittedly, it wasn't my idea. I bought the design kit on Etsy. |

Thanks
I made two pair like this; one for my mother in law and one for my husband's boss' wife. I hope they like them as much as I do. |

I love working with sterling silver. It's my favorite material, by far. Your earrings look nice. Thanks for sharing the pics.
By the way, silver is pretty low cost right now. If you make your own rings, I'd stock up, at least a few ounces of your preferred gauges.

Very nice work.
If you're like me and really like working with silver you can buy thick silver wire (that is usually cheaper per ounce then thin wire) and get a drawplate to make the gauge you need.
You can even (if you're crazy like me) get a casting setup to make your own wire from scraps |
