This is my first posting, so hello all awesome maille makers in here ^_^ I figured I'd put up this necklace I made to see what y'all think since sometimes I'm not too sure about things I make so I'd love some outside input good and bad!

UPDATE: Sorry, forgot to add the ring sizes! So here they are:

16 gauge 5/16" Brass
18 gauge 3/16" Brown for the center
18 gauge 3/16" Gold for the center of the trio topper
18 gauge 5/32" Gold for the other 2 of the trio ( red on every 4th set)
18 gauge 1/8" Copper to connect the trio top

THANKS EVERYONE FOR THE INPUT!!!!!

Very nice. I really like the look of that weave. Has a nice bulky, bold look that offsets the big dangly bits well. A dainty full persial chain wouldn't look right with those bits, for instance, but that substantial looking chain is great.

Very nice work. What kind of stats do you have on that thing? It looks like you have used multiple ring sizes and all.

Thanks for sharing.

I think it is beautiful! It's not something I would wear because I like very understated jewelry for myself. But the colors are gorgeous and lots of people like large necklaces. I think you did a wonderful job designing it! If you sell it, don't give it away for materials cost. You made a beautiful piece and should get well paid for it. At least that's my opinion, for what it's worth. Smile

Very nice implementation of Celtic Dawn. Beautiful color scheme, and I like how you kept the ring sizes small enough that it made a tighter look, rather than an open, lacy look.

Nice combination of colours in the chain to go with the colours of the leaves.

One little niggle: I think the red plastic leaf doesn't go with the other colours; the red is too much like a pink-ish red rather than the deeper red of the other red leaves. Though I can understand why you used it - the size of those plastic leaves is a nice intermediate step between the small leaves at the top and the large leaves at the bottom. Replacing the red plastic leaf with another transparent yellow plastic leaf might work better.

Nicely done Smile

I have been meaning to do something with the Celtic Dawn one myself.
