Hey Guys,
I am a Goth. I am also a chainmailler. I am also an editor for DarkestGoth magazine (darkestgoth.com). We are trying to put together a Goth festival in Lexington, KY from August 24-26th. We really need donations and attendees! If you are alternative, Goth, or even just interested in the art and culture of the Goth community you should check it out! It's $25 for the whole three days. You can also just donate money if you can't attend. We have a kickstarter campaign going at:

This isn't just me pimping this event. I am one of the founders of this event! This is my baby and I am trying to get a chainmaille demonstration set up for sometime during the weekend to bring the craft to the masses.
If you have time, please go check it out, even if you don't contribute at least have a look at some great artistic works at the magazine site and support a fellow mailler!!!

Oh, by the way, if you pledge money and the event doesn't happen (i.e. we don't get the money we need) you won't be charged a dime! You only pay the money if the event actually occurs!

This sounds like it'd be a lot of fun.
Too bad events like these usually happen far, far away from me. |

That's part of why we are doing this. We want to get the ball rolling so that not only we can have our event, but that others will be inspired to do it and will start putting them on all over the country!
