| O.K. Did I read this right? 10 AR for the big rings, does that equate to 12mm, 18G? or 18.20, 20 G? Where do I find these puppies? Has anyone made this from the tutorial? I love this weave but can't find and don't have any mandrels this large to cut.. |

Well there's yer problem. You're supposed to cut the rings, not the mandrels.
But yes, most suppliers don't make rings with AR's that large, so you would need to make your own. I imagine you could use a slightly smaller AR than 10, but I don't know what the minimum workable AR for that is.
Sounds like it's ye olde experimynt tyme for you!

TRL has an item with 9.8 AR. I imagine that should be big enough for you (granted I haven't actually tried Thrise as of yet). Of course, said ring happens to be 14swg stainless, so that could potentially be a problem.
If you really want something with an AR of 10, you could always try the trading room. I'm sure someone around here could make some for you. |

16g 7/16 and 16g 7/32 is what i used ARs 7.7 and 3.7
also 16g 1/2 and 16g 1/4 should work too. ARs 9.4 and 4.5
all above avalible at TRL i think.....
and yup i made it from my tutorial.. I'll work out some more AR to add to the tut latter when i have some time. what i have on there is a range not exact ARs. keep that in mind.

switch up your gauges.
16ga for the larger rings. 18 for the smaller.
you should be able to find all of your ring sizes that way. don't go by AR alone when you do this.
find the ID in 18ga for the large ring using the suggested AR, and use that ID in 16ga. then step the 18ga rings up a hair to account for needing the extra space to fit the larger rings.
you can do this ordering rings, but I've always found making my own easiest. it allows for immediate adjustment for the perfect ring size fit.
