First, I would suggest learning how to make a basic byzantine chain and then you will see that these weaves are really just short sections of byzantine attached in different ways.

Those are both designs using short strips of Byzantine. So I would suggest learning the weave from any of the tutorials listed on the Byzantine weaves page.

Then you will be able to make lots of designs with Byzantine, including those two.

Like the others said, Byz is a really easy weave, once you learned it, those designs shouldn't be a problem... they are both really pretty and just to let you know, they aren't weaves, they are just designs, so you will not find them in the database (and with the names alone, we wouldn't have known what you mean, so good thing you posted the pics ^^).
Also, I would suggest to make ladder first... it seems a little bit easier... and because I'm at it, one another suggestion; The way baublesnbling caught the beads isn't really good (although still beautiful) because if you put some stress on it, it will bend open...
I suggest to you to look up this tutorial by cliffordparker, it's imho the strongest and a beautiful way to add beads to jewellry.
@DL
darn, do you have to post something as pretty as that two days after I decided I wouldn't do byz (or byz-variations) for some time? |
