Last night was really quiet, which was really weird around here for a Friday night. Ended up being able to play with my pliers most the night.

The clasp on the Interwoven E4-1 looks neat.

I'm interested in hand made clasps, how is yours done?
Btw: It looks really well done, I'm just assuming it's handmade because I've never seen a clasp like it.

Also, where do you work? I've made an HP 4-1 necklace before and it took about 3 hours for, what looks like, the same specs. 5/16" - .065"ID. Did you make all three pieces in one night?

...I'm assuming you brought up the 'quiet' factor because you were at work? Maybe you have children, I understand that magnitude of quiet.

Yeah its handmade, back in June? sometime around there this clasp was invented due to Cynake's paper-clip clasp. There is a tutorial for the Coil Clasp in the Articles section. I used 1.2mm wire, and i forget what size mandrels. Laughing it took a few tries, hand wrapping hard temper copper wasn't the easiest thing lol.

I work nights at a convince store/gas station. Usually I get 2-3 hours of a 10 hour shift where its completely dead and I get to weave, and spurts through the night where I get a chance to weave. Last night though was pretty much all night Very Happy.

I'll admit I had started the HP Necklace at home, but was nowhere near done, All in all I think it only too me about 2 hours once I figure out how thread the new ring so it could "carry" a pre-closed ring in an attempt to speed weave. But Yeah, got the better part of 2.5 of these done while at work, then spent the few hours before bed making the clasps and polishing them up lol.

Chubbs you've always done nice work, but I have to say, your work has improved to an impressive level lately. All three pieces are just lovely. I like your combination of brass and copper, I like the weaves you choose, the rings are beautifully made, your closures are flawless, and you did a fantastic job on the clasp. And your photography is gorgeous too. The lighting is just right, especially on the dodecahedron. That thing is glowing. And you did all that with one ring size! Surprised
