Recently I have been asked to make a vest out of Japanese splint mail. I have yet to find any good tutorials on the net. Can anybody point me in the right direction.

As for looking cool, it doesn't matter.There really isn't any way to over lap one side over the other or vice versa. Its all just personal preference.

I made a nice patch of euro 4-1 17g galvy 3/16" id, hung it up, and looked at it from a distance. It's awesome, it almost looks like a solid sheet of metal. Coif LoL woot!

You might want to test a patch of galvy before you throw an entire project in the dish washer on pots/pans setting. I did it to a dice bag of mine because it was covered in flux and looked like crap. ...
