Id say if this is your first project dont go too hardcore, use 6in1 with a larger AR cause at 14 gauge even if it is quite heavy it should last as long as its not taking a beating where as 5/16" 16 ga ...

ithink if you have the right pliers (roundnose) you can make a nice looking semi fancy but simple s-type hook.

but sakredchaos and katclauses are nice and pretty easy if you have the rigth pliers.
